COLD ENGINE VAVLE TAP WENT AWAY! I have a 1999 Chevy with a 2.2 engine 130,000 mi, that does not burn oil. The engine had a valve tap when cold. I changed the oil and added Marvel Mystery Oil. Most of it to the oil, and a few ounces to the gas tank. I ran it a few hundred miles. The valve tap went away! After about 700 miles I had the oil changed again. As winter set in, the valve tap, when it tapped... was hard to hear, much quieter. Often there was no hydraulic lifter noise at all, even at 20 degree temperatures! My mechanic explained how a lifter noise can come and go. He said there are two positions the crankshaft can stop in. When an odd cylinder comes to the compression stroke, or when an even numbered cylinder does. When the engine spends all night compressing a particular lifter it can cause a valve tap in the morning. If you search on the web the ingredients are not that mysterious. But there's no point in trying to figure out the proportions, when the price is right... and the product is proven... -- Bruce New York City

I use MMO, for gas and oil treatment, in my boat, my 2 - 4 wheelers, my truck, my 2 cars and my '67 International Scout. But I was told about another use for MMO, from my Dad, and it does wonders. Dad received the local, Chas., SC, baseball Babe Ruth trophy back in 1937. Dad explained to me that the best way to keep your baseball glove in good working order was to rub it down with MMO. It changes the color of the leather a little, but does wonders keeping the glove flexable, preserved and in good working order. (HINT: Do not apply the MMO directly to the glove. Apply the MMO to a rag and then to the glove) Alan Cox (8-06-2010) -- Alan Cox

I have used Marvel Mystery Oil in every vehicle that i have owned over the past 15+ years and still continue to use it today. I have used it in vehicles dating from 1980's - 2000 and have never been disappointed by its performance. it does exactly what they claim on the Bottle and even more. -- THE MADMAN

i drive the big trucks,as a company driver, recently i changed jobs , the company has old 1997 kenworths i was adding 1gallon of oil every 3to 4 thousand miles. 1 time i put 1 gallon mmo in place of a gallon of oil the engine smooth out ran like new for me and it stoped burning oil between servicing now. 1 problem now i cant add mmo to the oil . wish i could . i use it in my car in the oil and gas its great -- langsy

i had a 1978 chevy p/u back in 1983 when I got married .Things were tight and I did all my maintenance on this daily driver on weekends to be ready to go to work on mondays . One week the tranny started slipping then it just guit shifting all together . my dad had an old tranny out of a car , said he boght from someone at work . It had been sitting on the ground for two years no dip stick in it and full of water . I had no choice but to bolt it up and try it . Someone at work give me a two gal. of Mno and said it would fix anything . I installed the tranny filled it w/ Mno , backed it out of the shop and drove it up the road five miles and back . It shifted perfectly on time every time . Back to the shop I drained the pan on it and more water came out of it . I went to the parts store and bought two more gal. of Mno . Filled it once more w/ Mno . I probably put about 10000 miles on it before selling it . I use Mno for a lot of things now. Anything, penitrating oil, fuel additive for old lawnmowers , Firm beleiver in using it as a fuel additive . Ive even used it as an oil additive . Ive used it in oil gas mix engines such as chainsaws . One time I had an old pontiac that I boght for the motor . It had been sitting up for yesrs . When I first started it up it missed on two cylinders . Not to worry I got me a quart of Mno held the throttle wide open while it was running . and slowly poured it down the carb. The missing stopped and it ran and idled like a new one . Ill always keep marvel in mmy garage . -- wcarter

I have just started using MMO in my 1990 Mercedes 300D 2.5L, and I already love it. The car has been running on diesel and homemade biodiesel for the three years that I have had it. I am switching to used veg oil because of the simplicity of use. With the veg oil use comes the concern about carbon build up and coking. So as a preventive measure, I have just put MMO in the oil and misted it throught the turbocharger. The engine is already quieter and sounds so good. I will start putting MMO in my fuel mix which will include veg oil plus a little diesel or kerosene. I am also using MMO to detail under the hood and under the car. I am switching to MMO from Lucas in my lawnmowers and will starting using in my 60 hp outboard. I have read most of your Marvel Tales. Outstanding!! Will be back to share my down the road experience which I expect to be very, very good. -- joevic

At one time I owned a 1957 HD. Panhead motorcycle which I purchased used. The gent that I purchased if from told me to keep adding (MMO) to the fatbobs (gas tank 3 1/2 gal.) size at the amount of 1oz. per each tank and 16oz. per oil change. I followed the old guys recommendation? So after many years of riding that old panhead (I mean like everyday except winter) I had to do a rebuild on the motor and the 4 speed tranny. Guess how many miles I put on that pan? Before I tell you people the correct answer I must say that the !957 FLH Panhead HD. motorcycle did not have outside oilers! Meaning that the rear head oftened cooked! How the answer:(95,000 miles that I myself put on) How many miles did the older gent that I purchased the bike from put on? Who knows! I sold that bike about 5-8 years ago and miss it ever since! Well last week I purchased a different Panhead. A 1954 FL. (June 12.2010) The very first thing I did was go down to my closes Farm & Fleet store and pick up 2 bottles of MMO. The kid that I purchased the bike from was already using MMO. So i know that 54 pan and I got a long life together. I'm 60 years old that bike will out last me? Hey; idea why don"t you make something like MMO for use old farts. Thank you for alot of happy miles together pass/future. Mike. -- Michael P Nowak

For many years the use of MMO in the old air cooled VolksWagen door hinges even though I lived in "Sunny Los Angeles" as nothing else worked. Times have changed and I no longer have a VeeDub to work on. Some years ago there was a gas treatment that was "FAA approved" that was VERY expensive, So I went to one of the local air fields and looked around and I found the fuel conditioner and YIKES talk about sticker shock!! But right next to it was MMO at a fraction of the cost of the other stuff and is FAA approved. Right now I'm using it in my '04 BMW R1150RT as last year all I could find was crap gas in the back roads of PA, WV, OH, IN, IL need I say more?? I know that my fuel system needs work from this ride and, by using MMO my bike runs as smooth as the day it was new. -- lotoofla
