Other Vehicle Description

astrovan:engine modified intake before MAS..I cut the inlet off of filter box and replaced with larger pipe stock was restricted by 1.5” entrance to filterbox I increased size to larger then rest of intake ductwork also pulls from side of radiator instead of right behind/above notice better throttle respons, and milage.
van:transmission:overhauled twice under warrenty both times got stupider for mountain travel. Finally reprogrammed after warrenty for no more grade smart, and overhauled with little bit of stall on 60-85u;ll throttle only for get up n go. Rear-end:posi on paper looked good on road clutches kick in if 10mph slip detected causing terrible shudder and almost full loss of acceleration I’m thinking about making full time posi without clutches.  overall 10-40+mpg 40+in city timing lights under speed limit. under 10 35mph rights 65+mph lefts 2nd-3rd gears only driving 1st gear only below 15mph stop only if police nearby. yes astrovan 35right lane-right lane turns without chirpin tires.  Lefts limited by high center of gravity.  Mustang:engine:Bigger throttle body, metal intake, and shorty headers...headwork stronger valve springs runners port matched to intake, intake runners machined too, block deck milled better pistons, stronger rods. 13,14,?:1 compression knocks without octane booster, neighbor and I always tuning computer performance maxed est.>800hp w/o egr oporating 63 in 1st around 3sec. 2nd, 3rd roast tires above 4500rpm 4th hooks up pegs speedo so fast you think your spinnin again till you notice your driving over 1mile ahead kinda like high tetris level, usually go for hpgains from efficiency, compression mostly I figure still around 600hp. best gas milage well above stock in city unlimited milage if you don’t touch gas highway 25-30 and still over 500hp.  Exhaust shorty headers,H-Pipe, Hollowed cats, cherry bombs, tips out sides or end after chery bombs! also have rear pipes all 3.5” or larger. plumbed for egr, O2’s always operating.  rear is 9” I’m not sure gear...65 5th 1750rpm 45 5th like 1200rpm. smooth slow accell 5th down to like 18mpg.  Performance Clutch/clutchparts.  Stock gearbox & contentes except rings and shaft.  New shocks and other parts pretty much stock, wider hoosier tires not as good as factory goodyears they stuck best but cost tons. other goodies oil pan holds 7.5qt. cup holder ash tray saved 5, pass seat goes all the way back now don’t know why, ac pulley safety clutch so I don’t roast the compressor when I forget it’s on and decide to gun it.  I want to get bigger cams but aside from over 7000rpm performance is complimented by the computer tuning.  I prefer carbs though computers act like the pedal is depressed when speed is requested, and carbs act like they are pissed you don’t have the pedal down yet.
Similar smallblock chevy builds net a grand HP w/carb w/o exhaust past headers.  just zerodecked, decent heads tiny combustion chamber. 1 big solid lifter cam, good crankshaft high dollar rods, light pistons. compression so high only me, the guys that showed me and god can keep it together!  this power costs though, I think it’s around 3500 for parts and machine work now mayby 4000 depending on what the motor came with.  put it in a 70’s chevy pickup whatever style 4wd 4"lift 33"-?" tires and you’ll eat mustangs like mine above for lunch in 4low 2nd gear.  2high for all out up to like 150.

Bio

Born in seventies when it still meant something to be born!!!!  I learn from others mistakes only when it comes to work otherwise I’ll be finding out for myself no matter what.  Never damaged a customers car, always did better then estimate, and always satisfy customers.  I believe in displacement over rpm’s, compression over supercharging, turbos are for toys, nos makes millionaire mechanics, 4bangers are for lawn mowers and go-carts.  superchargers kick ass. carbs rule if you can dial them in still rock if you can’t.  Technology should be the motor not the intake, and technology is great for growth i think I’m not sure I have to ask someone who has seen huge technological advances other than phones and ipods.  We are driving vehicles powered by 100+year old engines, power made by technology not changed since steam turbine invention in late 1800’s.  new technologies are ridiculed like rotary motor, and gas turbine autos.  both good steps in right direction to what who knows.
