I normally limit my MMO runs to 3000 to 5000 miles. 6000 might be ok but pushing it some. What kind of driving conditions? Highway would probably be ok, I think. Lots of stop and go and around town might be too much.

In my get-to-work car, which is run 95% on the highway, I run 10,000 to 15,000 miles between oil changes (once a year). I run good quality group 4 synthetic oils and put a half quart of MMO in when there is about 3 to 5 thousand miles left before change time. This had worked well for me for the last 5 years or so and keeps from putting too many miles on the MMO.

That is the safer bet.

So that’s 7 quarts of “oil” total?  I see no problem with 5k OCI.....but yea, in the future, I’d recommend using the MMO at the “back end” of the “extended OCI” - so it’s not sitting in the engine longer than 3k.......since that’s what MMO has tested for use.....it has not been tested in extended OCI conditions...which is why there’s not a whole lot of talk of using MMO with full synthetics, due to the fact that most people using synthetics are extending 5-12k OCIs…
