I just added 8 ounces of Marvel Mystery oil to my gas tank will that amount in my tank hurt anything? It says it can be added to my gas but did I use too much?
Yes, that is overkill but it won’t hurt anything. I have added 1 ounce per gallon to my small engine gas at times just because it was easier to measure. I’ve never had any problems but it’s really just wasting money. Don’t worry about it but try to keep it around 4 ounces per 10 gallons in the future.
Orangedotfever is correct in that using too much Marvel Myster Oil will not hurt anything in your engine system. Doubling the amount does not double the effect of using MMO, use just wind up with a treatment cost that is double, so you lose the economic value.
I have used it at a ratio of one-ounce per gallon for many years. Never had any problems PERIOD. My spark plugs have never looked like the engine was running lean, and on one particular motorcycle, a Honda CBX, I rarely ever had to do any of the recommended adjustments for valves and carb sync. I still to this day use it at that ratio in all of my vehicles with no detrimental affects.
