Went to the store to buy another bottle of MMO and noticed the red plastic container replaced with a clear plastic one?  What’s going on here?

Rich made this statement in January.

“We are looking at changing the Marvel opague red bottle to a clear red bottle.  Please note, that this is a package change only and not a formula change.  THE FORMULA WILL STILL BE THE SAME.”

One of the reasons that we made this change was to be able to read the fluid ounce markings on the side of the bottle.  With the opague red bottle, these marking were not very easy to read and therefore not very usefull when measuring out the Marvel Mystery Oil.  Some customers asked us to put in a clear stripe on the side of the bottle, similar to that on oil bottles, but the type of plastic used would not allow us to do this.  Next best thing, change the bottle to clear red bottle.

Just an FYI.  The bottle that I bought has began to leak.  The cap is snug tight, but there’s MMO all over the bottle.  I don’t know where the leak is coming from.  Just thought I’d let you know.  I am almost finished with this bottle and will be buying another bottle this week.  I’ll see if it leaks the same.

Please let us know if the second bottle leaks.  This should not happen.  We are wondering if perhaps the bottle was dropped at the store and then put back on the shelf resulting in a small crack causing the leak.  If the second bottle leaks, please contact me at or call me at 630-455-3866

I love the new clear bottles............should have made the change years ago!!

Bought a new bottle.  Visually inspected for any leaks before taking it home with me.  So far no leaks.

i like the change to the clear red , i can read how much i put in my tank. i go thru this mmo fast but never had any oil leak from the bottle
