A number of years ago I worked with a gentleman who drove a AH Bugeye Sprite. He had equipped the car with an injector that allowed a small amount of MMO to be directed into the intake stream. The unit was clearly identified as MMO, consisted of a small tank, hosing, etc.

Any ideas about the availability of these units? I drive an MGB and would love to equip my car with this if I can find one.

Thanks!

The unit you remember was called a Marvel Inverse Oiler and came in 4 sizes.  Unfortunately, this product has been discontinued for about 10 years.  However, there is another oiler that is available from Mr. George Folchi at Amico (Vaco) Lubricants.  Mr. Folchi can be reached at 860-355-5706

Mr. Folchi has been recommending the use of Marvel Mystery Oil in his units.  Mr. Folchi also has some spare parts for the original Marvel Inverse Oilers in case you find one at a garage sale or in a junk yard.

You’ll also find George’s website for Ampco Oilers here: http://www.ampcolubes.com/

Marvel Inverse Oilers appear quite frequently on Ebay but command quite a high price. The reason for this is they form an essential part of the vintage Judson Supercharger kit so you’ll often find several people bidding on them.

George’s Ampco Oiler is a good reasonably priced alternative and is available in quart and 2 quart sizes. Just fill up the oiler with MMO and you’re good for 1000-2000 miles of drip feed lubrication.
