Before using MMO in my fuel I ran some fuel cleaner in the gas tank and for the last 2 months I have been adding 4 ounces of MMO to 10 gallons of gas, the carburetor is working excellent. Am I correct that the maintenance dose of MMO is lubing my fuel system and preventing any deposits from forming in the carburetor.

MMO will keep a carb clean, and not needing frequent adjustments.  It is a good idea to use a good carb cleaner before MMO to get things clean.  Once that is done your carb will stay clean, and last a very long time.  There is also the added benefit of a top oil, which can increase compression slightly by making a nice tight seal inside the cylinders.
